"Happy Birthday James Joyce!!!"

Above is a gleeful finger puppet of our heroic hero James Joyce hovering over studio copy, and a map of Dublin!! Happy Birthday ya little cotton effigy. My pal Prof. Loekle is a scholar, and swell chap. He does a radio program for smart guys on WBAI/wbai.org.

You have to have at least gone to Community College to understand anything he sez. But still you'll have a swell time listening since he plays Dizzy Gillespie what's not to like. Anyway he's celebrating Joyce's Big Day on the air this morning.

Go to wbai.org, and look him up on the archives. Saturday morning 6:am Feb.1, 2014.

You'll be glad ya did!

Stay Tuned

  1. Does that mean this is Bloomsday? I think it must be airing right now.

  2. Bloomsday is June 16th, but it's the thought that counts. We'll make do with the Birthday Bash. Yeah they retired me, but I hang out with my pals at the station. The program director offered to give me more time for my program...unpaid of course..da bastards.

Thanks for the reminder. He and Burroughs are the two most important writers of the 20th century. Gotta luv 'em.
