The evil bastards at "Verizon" a data, and communication company pulled our plug at the radio station, (wbai.org), the other day. As those in the area know these characters have been offline since "Sandy" knocked the living crap out of the Emerald City last October.
'Course that didn't stop them from continuing to bill all their customers since then. Anyway they decided to slam zillions in town with five months of back bills in one go. Alot of upscale stores, and assorted outfits went dark or had the computer systems go down.
Surprise!
"Sure we haven't given much if any service in months fuck it pay us or else." A true 1% attitude toward the masses. Anyway they yanked our lines to our transmitter at the Empire State Building in mid-sentence. The first time in 53 years we were 'ever' disconnected by a vendor.
Eh yes we were profoundly angry, and yes we paid the crooks. There's a lawsuit being put together by the affected customers. I assume we're part of it. When screwed..SUE!
