Ya know I really don't pay much attention to the 'news' anymore..what for it's always the same. However this habit does have a few draw backs. Sometimes something interesting happens, and I miss it.
Umm like the Catholic Church having 'two Popes' for the first time in 600 years. That or North Korea going even more nuts than usual. Threatening the engulf the world or specifically the U.S. of A.,..where I live, engulf the world, and us in a "Sea of Flames".
I must say that got my attention.
The current Chief of this demented nuthouse Rear Admiral Blessed Boss General Pork Chow Fun junior is profoundly nuts even for a North Korea leader. He should not be trusted with a book of matches much less nuclear warheads. Btw he has both.
I'm not so quick to discount this guy.
First he tears up the Armistice that's kept the peace in the Korea's for 60 yeas. Then he says that a state of war exists. Even gives a deadline the 10th of April for the fun to begin. Starts moving hardware to the inter-Korean border, and he keeps on about nuking the hell out of everybody.
Also his pals the Russians, and Chinese say they can't get any rational sense out'a this guy. Clearly something seriously stinky may happen. Even if it's by accident. Soldiers that hate each others guts are facing off, and are on a hair trigger. The North, and South Koreans have been getting ready for a re-match they've been preparing for near a lifetime. Any stupid mis-step could set that part of the world on fire.
Remember North Korea is a profoundly Orwellian society. Them guys 'believe' all that insane bullshit they've been fed all their lives. There are a million trained troops up there ready to take on the whole damned world,...'AND' they 'think' they can Win!
With shit like that blasting through the fan I think we've reason to be concerned.
The only good thing in this is I'm too old to be drafted. So I'll watch the whole thing on TV. Should take about three to six months to pacify the North. Figure maybe a half million dead soldiers all sides, and civilians. Throw in them nukes these nutters have then figure two million dead. Another million or so in the next 20 years from the radiation.
Like I said somewhere these are evil times comrade...evil.

Like you I think the little yapping Pekingese is actually something to be concerned about, because of the nukes mostly. I thought Beijing had a leash on him, but maybe not. They'd probably like to start war at some point with Japan or the USA, I suspect, but right now would be premature for them. They're smart and will wait until we're on our knees. So they should think about arranging for him to come by an unfortunate accident like Hugo Chavez, and replace him with some pliable puppet.

Me I look forward to the burning Apocalypse. For one if it happens I won't have to go to work, and the other it'll make for an interesting news cycle.
ReplyDeleteAlso we'll likely find death camps, and assorted horrors salted all over that looney bin of a country. That should shut up the professional left bleeding hearts about our blowing the Kim Dynasty to hell.
Like I sez though it's be over quick. Few months tops with only a half to two million hapless pawns blown to bits.
