"I am a Black Bird",...always was.
I made this for both my shrink, and my art class. I gave the original to my shrink. This is important for what it is 'not'. I had originally planned the bird to be flying in a flaming sky above an apocalyptic landscape.
Such was the pain I was in.
However my hands had other ideas, and this is the result...hope peace love all that. Well it forced it's way through all my crap, and made itself plain. The black Swallow is the only part of the original concept that survives this transformation.
Of course the Black Bird is me.
Btw a friend suggested I make a kite based on my drawing of the Swallow. ...humm there's an idea.
Stay Tuned.

A kite - that's a great idea!
ReplyDeleteBlackbird fly,
Into the light of a long dark night.

...take these sunken eyes, and learn to see...take these broken wings, and learn to fly...
ReplyDeleteThis song was Paul's reaction to the violent race war in America of the late 1960's. It 'was' a War. I was there I saw it.
