"Population Shifts"

Well as the post title sez it's just that. Damned Rats! Post Sandy they're all over the place. Climate Change forced their migration to higher ground. Just as it's doing to the rest of the mammals despite if they voted for it or not.

The Emerald City is awash with these nasty little guys. You see them everywhere. Nice 'hood Scary 'hood there they are. The damned subways are over run with them.

However the papers haven't got on the stick about this. Yeah the letters columns mention it, but no big articles with horrifying pictures yet.

The things we get used to, and call normal.

Hey Bloomberg if you happen to be reading this swell blog will you do something for me? Call out the National Guard or maybe use the Anti-Rodent Bomb! Just bloody 'Do' something before these little bastards take the fuck over!!!

This is really awful.

They say there's more rats than folks here in town. Yeah I believe that. However there's always been a treaty, and understanding between us.

It roughly goes...

"You little fuckers stay the hell out of our way..especially in the day time, and we'll let you live..deal?"

Well for ages that worked. 'Least till that Climate Change noise kicked in. Now it's anyone's game.

Ya know this just ain't the 21st century I was looking forward too. No underwater cities no jet packs no mono-rails or moon colonies.

However garbage war genocide boredom weird diseases , and rats we got in spades.  ...oh yeah our cars talk to us now too.

Nice real nice.

Swell.

  1. This is not good. It's not for nothing rats are considered carriers for major disease vectors, as in the bubonic plague (which has been found in recent years in certain small mammals in North America). Maybe it's time to start breeding some nice big hefty aggressive cats?

  2. Well here's another possibility. Have the BloomSmurf invest in a shitload of these:

And don't neglect to deploy 'em all over town.
