"Taliban of the South"

The "Confederate Memorial Carving" in a state park outside of Atlanta is once again stirring controversy, as Georgia officials try to decide what, if anything, to do about a huge sculpture that memorializes three of the South's Civil War heroes but causes offense to blacks and others.

Chiseled into a side of Stone Mountain, the carving of Confederate President Jefferson Davis, General Robert E. Lee and General Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson spans three acres and is the largest high relief sculpture in the world — even larger than Mount Rushmore.

Controversial since its 1970 unveiling, the sculpture has drawn renewed scrutiny since the massacre of nine black worshipers at a church in South Carolina last month.

Okay here's the deal. Ya knows I'm a History Fan, and don't cotton to them that's ignorant of it going around wanting to either erase it or change it to something else.

The revered NAACP, and other mainstream Civil rights groups wants the sculpture chiseled off "Stone Mountain". The same "Stone Mountain" Dr. King mentions in his "I Have a Dream" speech.

"Chiseled off".

Where have we heard that desire before? Oh yeah back in the day the bleeping "Taliban" was blowing up, and hacking down anything that wasn't Islamic...their kind of Islamic.

Our heroes "Isis" is doing the very same as I post.

Hysteria is a funny thing it's fun at first, but then it gets out'a hand. Sort of like revolutions, and such...ask any Cuban.

The purge of any vestiges of the Confederacy has gone from removing such from government buildings, and property. ...makes rightful sense. From that to it total, and complete obliteration.

Including history books.

That's one of the latest demands.  Like I sez it's gotten to be like a feeding frenzy. This btw will hurt relations between the races not help. You want to makes friends with enemies you don't do it by shitting on the graves of them they consider sacred.

Didn't none of these fanatics ever watch Star Trek?! Did all of Spock's parables, and calm advice count for nothing?

Look I ain't down with the Nazi fucks that wanna kill me. I'm arguing for the patients, and compassion of the "Truth, and Reconciliation" gatherings. It actually works.

It forestalled a Race War in South Africa for example.

Not bad that.

"Compromise Patients Compassion, and who knows maybe Forgiveness.

Stay Tuned.
