The topic of porn came up,...so to speak on a comrade's page. Some thought that the display of women in straight porn was harmful, and destructive. Queer porn is just as bad...yuck. As one poster said to the video presented. "...why don't you show yourself waging ya butt around or your weenie for that matter"
Eh,...I paraphrased.
Anyway that kick started a memory of just this problem. Here's my response to the "response" of the video.
"Say...that's right. What about it? Would you wiggle your weenie about? I mean I would, but for reason of esthetics defer. Btw this is something I, and other artistic trouble makers were concerned about long ago.
Porn as it was, and is demeans those in it.
So we thought my comrades of the time. Is there a way to do enjoyable erotica that doesn't hurt people? I mean the template we had then as now comes from when it was mostly illegal. So the Mob produced it all.
In other words generations were given as a model the Mafia's idea of sex. Which is akin to autopsy pictures. So I proposed what in my earlier boyish innocence I believed porn to be. As a lad of 11 maybe 12. I'd see this stuff on newsstand racks. I thought the pictures were taken by the people in it. The women themselves took the pictures, and the articles interspersed were by them talking about why they did it, and how they had such a nice time with their friends doing it.
An interesting idea we thought.
However when we actually proposed this to one of the minor rags they thought we were crazy, and said basically "fuck no" to the idea. Anyway by this time it was the early 1970's so I began to self publish gay poetry queer nude Angels, and stuff. Which was great fun.
People doing it for themselves - isn't that what "sexting" is? And yet this harmless fun is persecuted and severely punished. I say cut out government interference, cut out mafia middlemen, and let folks be their own producers. It's good for democracy!

With the advent of the new tech anybody, can do anything. One can make a "Citizen Kane" which turns out like "Plan 9 from Outer Space", and that's cool.
Folks are making selfie porn despite the fucked up Nazi law enforcement persecutions. Despite that they're grinding it out like crazy. Every age type and circumstance of folks are out there heating up the internet with their personal projects.
Which is mostly just them jerking off, but still.
Give it time. There's bound to be a Martin Scorsese of Smart Phones coming along any time now.
