Strictly speaking Brooklyn is mostly a low rise mid-to-late 19th century city architecturally speaking. It's all wrought iron brick brown, and blue stone.

The only major newer construction was public housing.

These hellholes were thrown up from the 1930's through the 50's. May the city planners behind them be given a "Simpson's" style ironic chastisement in Purgatory.

Other than that a lot of Brooklyn is beautiful..in a scary life threatening soul destroying nightmare inducing Triple Medico lock kind'a way.

...and since "Sandy" there's all them rats.

'But otherwise it's a nice town...know what I mean?
