What a marvelous image. The boy's the quintessence of exquisite beauty. He just needs to be cheered up a bit. Several ways of achieving this come to mind.
Hello Sidney, Yes, there are lots of flavors. Darn, I was raised in a racist little industrial town back in the 1940's and 50's. I have fought racism in me all this time.
A few weeks ago I saw "The Lion King" (Traveling Broadway Play). There I saw BEAUTIFUL Black People. It so startled me. Dramatically turned off something inside of me. I couldn't wait to see and hug my black friend I have acted badly toward. Ran into him the next day on the bus and couldn't stop from sharing completely my recent experience.
The 9-year-old who played the young Simba was spectacular. I was reading comments made by the actor/singer/dancer who played the Lion King. He said, "We play in small cities like Wichita and .... and they hardly know how to comprehend a group of beautiful black people descending on them." I am soooooo glad I got to see "The Lion King" on stage. Love, Lukas

ReplyDeleteMe too.
ReplyDeleteHowever the borders of Beauty need to be expanded. The problem I always have is finding examples published of other varieties of loveliness.
Sure blond is sweet, but there's a helluva lot more beautiful flavors out there that need adoring.
Research continues.
