"Requiem"

Sometimes a piece of music stays with you. It takes hold, and asks you to listen, and ponder. "The German Requiem", video below, has always done this for me.

I even cheat, and skip to the parts that mean the most to me. So if you have an hour to spare or if you like to skip about pieces please listen.

Indeed listen as I did which was twice today in it's entirety.

While listening I thought of the sea of suffering humanity in the world. Hope for the Reprieve of the still living, and Peace for those cruelly taken.

Stay Tuned.

  1. I try not to think about what's going on right now in eastern Ukraine, or in west Africa with the Ebola virus. It's too ghastly and there's really nothing we can do about it. We're living through a bad patch of history, no question about it.

  2. I know as you too well know the tragic sadness of these days. I posted "Horses" above by Edwin Muir as an 'attempt' to address our times.
